Atorvastatin 10 mg & Fenofibrate 160mg is used together with a proper diet to reduce
and treat high cholesterol and triglyceride (fat-like substances) levels in the blood.
This may help prevent the development of pancreatitis (inflammation or swelling of
the pancreas) caused by high levels of (fat-like substances) in the blood.

Mechanism of action

Fenofibrate Activates peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha (PPAR-?),
leading to increased lipolysis and elimination of triglyceride-rich particles from
plasma. It also has modest effects on increasing HDL cholesterol. Inhibits the enzyme
HMG-CoA reductase, reducing cholesterol synthesis in the liver and lowering levels of
LDL cholesterol (“bad” cholesterol) and triglycerides, while increasing levels of HDL
cholesterol (“good” cholesterol)
