Medical uses

It prevents or delays microalbuminuria. It is a prophylactic therapy for Contrast-Induced Nephropathy (CIN). These antioxidants work by protecting kidneys from damage by harmful chemicals. It is given to patients in case of acute renal failure, chronic renal failure, post coronary angiogram, and diabetic kidney diseases.

Mechanism of action

Taurine + Acetylcysteine is a combination of two antioxidants: Taurine and Acetylcysteine. These antioxidants work by protecting the kidneys from damage by harmful chemicals (free radicals).
